Description

A Civil War cannon and small pyramid of cannonballs are mounted on a stone platform. The platform bears four plaques: a dedication plaque, a Civil War honor wall, and a plaque that lists those who served in the Revolutionary War, the Spanish-American War, the Mexican Border Expedition, and the World War. A World War II plaque was later added to the rear of the memorial.

Sixty-three men's names are listed under World War I, including three gold stars. Red Cross nurse Rose Katherine Conley is recognized separately at the bottom of the plaque.
