Description

A boulder with plaque that commemorates the role of the 4th Marine Brigade, Second Division, in the Battle of Belleau Wood was unveiled on May 12, 2009, adjacent to the Belleau Wood Second Division Memorial (1926; separate entry). The memorial, which features the Marine Corps insignia at top, was sponsored by the NW Suburban Chapter, Marine Corps League.
