Description

In East Greenwich's downtown section is the East Greenwich Town Hall, with an ornate World War I Memorial on the front lawn. The monument is made of stone with bronze plaques on both sides. The text on the front surrounds a female figure standing with her arms outstretched in a robe. She is in full relief above the top part, and her feet protrude from the curtain of the robe. The plaque on the rear of the monument lists 139 names of East Greenwich citizens who served in the World War.
